Summary

Content "Update TCL main armory"

Purpose of change

Make the armory more rewarding for the risks involved. Add additional incentives to finding the black security badge. Minor mapgen fixes.

Describe the solution

  • made turret disappear when console is hacked. this was a mapgen mistake.
  • added extra locked area for higher end guns
  • added item_group support for new loot drops, matched rivtech guns, matched power armor sets, power sources.
  • added hidden area for chance at armor set.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Leaving gun and high tech armor out of this lab, however, I can remove it later once a dedicated lab is created as a source for these loots. Currently they are so rare most people will never collect an entire power armor set, or functional rivtech gun set.

I can use feedback on the gun, ammo and magazine probability weights in my item_groups.

Testing

Checked in game, made sure everything loads and works as intended.

Based on description the "light" power armor was the one that had the most production so it should maybe be weighted the highest in the drop pool?

Ok, I'd assumed basic was the lowest tier armor. I can adjust those values later today though.

Yeah based on description it's:

Heavy 1st gen
Normal 2nd gen
Light 3rd gen

with light having the description:

The final iteration of military power armor before the fall of civilization, this type - a powered exoskeleton with high-tech segmented plating - was designed for actual widespread combat use and was seen on the front lines during the last days of the cataclysm.
